I'm so on the fence about whether to watch this. I know it is excellent but I also know it is triggery for a lot of folks and I'm not really looking for that in my entertainment yanno? I really want to watch it, but I don't want to become a mess because of it. I'm withholding all decisions until after the 16th (when my finals are over) because I am DEFINITELY not taking that kind of risk when I have to be producing quality papers.

No, I'm with you. I wish I could watch it bc it sounds so so good, but it's way rapey and nope nope nope.

If it helps, none of the rape happens during the series. The story picks up after Jessica has escaped and is seeking retribution. It's all about recovering from trauma and trying to re-establish control, but that can still be triggery for a lot of viewers.
