It was really well done. The dialogue clanged and clunked in places, but no more than most sci fi movies. It also felt much more like the original, with the array of weird creatures and strange languages and spaceship dogfights

When Kylo said, "I know what I have to do," but wasn't sure if he had the courage to do it, I knew he wasn't talking about joining the good guys. His character arc in this film is, in some ways, a mirror image of Vader's in Return of the Jedi.
There is speculation that he's following the path of the Bad Guy quasi on purpose, ala Snape in HP. And that Han gave his life willingly, knowing that. WHY either of them would do that though, I have no fucking idea. I suspect it's fandom trying to woobify another bad guy. Surprise!
I saw it coming, mostly because it was the one thing I got spoiled for before the movie, but you could see it coming in that scene. What a terrible child that man is.
