I just read this fic over at your LJ and enjoyed it very much. I wrote the following comment but couldn't post it there, but I wanted to let you know. :)

This is really different and fascinating. I like the way the generations reflect each other and the strength each displays. The first letter is such a kick in the gut - what a way to start - and the echo at the end is lovely. Beautifully written.
