Her: Wouldn't it be funny if we had a dealer with a famous name?

Me: Well, we already have a Rob Thomas.

Her: Who's that?

Me: O_O

Me: The lead singer of Matchbox 20

Her:  ....

Her: Oh, yeah...I think I know one of their songs

Oops, I forgot my response to your actual post. :) You're late 20s, right? So she's early 20s? And she'd have been a preteen when MB20 was at its peak? Her response doesn't surprise me.

ha...well I was trying to be funny...obviously it didn't work. In fact in reality the closer I get to 30...the more I'm okay with one day being 40...

I had the stereotypical reaction to turning 30, and I felt *awful* when I turned 40...but that's only because of my childhood issues. It's ok now, though. 40 is really the new 30. :)

Myself and several of my college friends around 25, 26, all had this "oh holy fuck, I'm going to be 30" flip out moment...but I'm better now.

Isn't it? I just don't understand how 5 years can make such a difference.

And I know I'm not really old...though even as a kid I was always "the mom" amoungst whatever friends I had.

5 years is really not a lot of difference. I'm kind of surprised by that since Rob Thomas actually has done solo work recently. lol
