Okay, I'm warning you now, this will be a rant-filled post about the American healthcare system. If this is something you don't want to read, I urge you to move on. But from one who's had to deal with this system on a regular basis, let me tell you: I've learned a few things about the massive amount of fuckitude that we accept without question,

I can't even tell you how many times I have been sick and haven't gone to the doctor because I'm actually wondering if I'm going to get screwed over financially for it. Not to mention the amount of shitty doctors I've been to that definitely did not do anything miraculous to be paid what they got paid. Just the other day I was in excruciating pain due to a probable ear infection and I kept telling my mom I'd wait another day to see if it got better. lol. EXCRUCIATING PAIN! I didn't want to find a doctor, I didn't want to pay the doctor and I was skeptical the doctor wouldn't do his job and in the end four months later I'd have to deal with my insurance company about some mishap! Not to mention I called about 5 doctors who were listed under "Internists" and they all said "oh we're not an internist" or "we don't do internist anymore". Well why are you LISTED? Okay,not your fault, but can you recommend any internists in the area? I'm new here. "Umm....no.....we don't know any internists." Your fucking doctors for christ sake! Don't you

That's interesting about your co-worker getting his refund check from CA because when we filed our taxes (half of which was in CA because of the move) we got told that we wouldn't be getting a refund check from CA, that they'd be issuing IOU's. :P I wonder how your co-worker pulled that off
