Anko’s thinking about kissing the hell out of Kurenai (’cause she’s pretty), but then she just has to open her mouth. “We’re monsters, I think,” she says. She’s peering into the sake bottle like she lost something there.
“Bad missions happen to everyone,” Anko says, jaw clenched. It’s the most bullshit she’ll say. She’s heard this conversation before.
I’m a horrible person.

For the record though, Anko knows about monsters. Kurenai isn’t one. Damned if she’s gonna pat her on the back for it, though.
