Sounds cool. Since I'm so behind (I really need to fix that), I don't know how helpful i can be with the jutsu stuff...I remember being very confused by the whole "elemental" thing.
But in general, sounds good so far :D. (Dude. Can Temari be the Sand Team's instructor?! Or Kankuro.) I think building on the Sansai clan thing for an overarcing plot would be awesomest! (And the Cloud dead Raikage's son wouldn't be the only one with a grudge re: that mess. I could so see Hanabi wanting to kill him, because his family fucked with her clan, and her sister at that, and being annoyed about the "her sister at that" part, because of course she doesn't care about Hinata; why if not for the danger of losing a pair of Hyuuga eyes, it would almost have been better if he'd succeeded. /Hanabi

I was actually thinking Gaara as Sand instructor, but really either of his siblings would make just as much sense, and be even more cracktastic to write- I'll leave the choice of which Sand Sib to you.

Ebisu's team = Konohamaru Corps. But yeah, that's the Leaf-nin lineup.
Oh and Sound. Canon has mildly implied that Kabuto is filling Orochimaru's shoes in some deeply creepy ways- technically, I guess, Orochimaru isn't dead; his mind is just imprisoned in Sasuke. And Kabuto... has started modifying himself with Orochimaru's genetic material. This may or may not mean he himself is getting... Orochimaru-ish... but yeah, even if we do agree with canon there, and I could see us going either way, Sound is still a factor, and Orochimaru conceivably so, by proxy. I didn;t know yet if they were going to show up here, or why- maybe Kabuto wants to expand his genetic library, and the Hyuga and Sansai are a great starting place?
I don't really like/get Gaara, so I would prefer one of his siblings :D. Temari is coolest, but I think I have to go with Kankuro; I think he would be more cracktastic.

It is kind of a slow evening, so I figured I would post a little more. Jutsus: sadly I haven't got too much figured out for Tobi, apart from his love of pranks and traps. He's a tactically minded little bugger, so he could probably get away with lacking flashy jutsu: a little ingenuity, some kawarimi, and a bag full of tripwires and explosive tags can go a long way. Maybe he's the team's summons specialist? that would keep him back from the action

But, sounds cool! I love Asuma's knives and I'd like to see her borrow that notion. (Hey, we could have some Asuma-trains-Hanabi pre-Chuunin Exam fic, in that case. Which would be sweet. Especially if say, Ino dropped by mid-training session. I could see them clashing a bit. Or rather, Ino being loud and opinionated, and Hanabi glaring icily.)
Sound-based jutsu for the kids could be cool. I'd also love to see Tobi summon snakes. I've had in the back of my head for awhile the idea of Anko having a sort of side deal with Orochimaru's big snake (was his name Manda?): so long as she doesn't summon him or his kids to fight Orochimaru, and so long as she understands that if Orochimaru summons him against her, HE WILL EAT HER FOR DINNER, well, hey, Manda actually thinks she's pretty cool from back in the day when Orochimaru first introduced them, and he'll totally let her & her students summon his

I definitely like Tobi summoning snakes- and I love the notion of Asuma training Hanabi, but I don't feel I have a very good grip on his character- if you'd like to pursue that one, I'd love to see it.
So; what are your thoughts? I've meant to say that at the end of each of these last two comments, and I keep forgetting. I want to integrate our brainstorms for as much wicked cool as humanly possible.
For the last three nights I've been meaning to reply to you, but each and every go, I'm so burnt out from homework & work that I cannot put together anything intelligent. So: it all sounds pretty cool, I will say more detailed things tomorrow. Or possibly Monday. Sorry!
