This post is going to be really picture heavy (duh) so I'll put it behind a cut.
I think of things to post about often. While I'm doing dishes. Or trying to get the baby to sleep. Or driving. But when I actually have a laptop, the internet, and both my hands... I tend to need to do something else. Here are some examples of what I've been up to in the last month that has kept me from typing.
Duh. This little guy. He crawls when he wants to get somewhere fast, but he's perfectly capable of walking. He's done it a little bit each day for the past four days, so I feel comfortable declaring that he Can Walk. Oy.
Socks! I finally finished a pair of socks! Haven't done that since 2008. (I know there is only one sock in the picture, but I swear I finished both. I'm just too lazy to go get the socks and the camera and take a new picture.)
Charles, however, does not approve of socks. He pulls them off his feet every chance he gets.
Lots of corset action. Here's an underbust for Tammie. She wanted something polka-dot-ish. I think this fits the bill.
There were also a couple of overbusts for Shannon. The pink one was fun and frilly, and the teal one was more about the fabric. Also, got my paws on a black busk for that one. I really like how it blends into the look rather than saying HI I'M A BUSK.
Meanwhile, Charles is eating "real" food now. No more easy street with the jars of baby food for me! I already miss them.
Here's a dress that did not come out well in pictures, so I'll have to get some on a real body. It has a bunch of box pleats and a drape and it's actually very shapely and cute. Oh, and sparkly. Don't forget the sparkly.
All that eating with our hands means lots of baths. We like baths. And showers. And bubble goatees.
Another corset, this one with straps. I'm very pleased with how this one came out. I tried it on myself (we're the same size, Michele and I) and it looks awesome. If she's not careful I might just keep it. ;)
Oh, and then we had to go socialize with
scottish_jessi's roommate's cat. HI KITTY!
Dishes. There are always dishes. Or a high chair to scrub down.
Finally finished a Christmas stocking I've owed my mom since... well, some time in the mid-90's. Hey, you can't rush a gift, right?
There you go. Baby, sewing, knitting, baby... he's napping now and I'm avoiding the dishes or I still wouldn't be typing this!
