I don't really know what I'm talking about, but when I was using Wordpress it seemed like they were releasing new updates every twenty minutes. If support for Microsoft platforms is unsupported (I bet there's a better way to phrase that than "unsupported support") then it may get broken sometimes maybe? I'd use something other than Wordpress if I was wedded to a Microsoft system. But: I don't really know what I'm talking about.

Good for you on the tech blog idea, and I feel your pain on dealing with the web host. I go through that basic scenario so often there ought to be a DnD adventure based on it. Tomb of Tech Support. I send them documentation, even source code or examples, that proves something works and they send me link the the FAQ. I send them an error code that describes the exact problem and they send me an email saying they can't fix the code if they don't know what the problem is. Why do I feel like I'm talking to people who aren't even affiliated with the company and are paid in rupees and disdain to answer questions from a script?
