When are the makeup styles at the end going to make a comeback?

I've gotten an iPod and have been enjoying it so far. However, I've just had the first potentially embarrassing moment of wearing headphones with the iPod at the gym. I was listening to Hey Bulldog by the Beatles and found myself going "wruff" out loud along with the song. Fortunately, I was walking out at the time and don't think anyone heard me.

I have now made a blueberry pie successfully. I've also made a chocolate pudding pie. I want to make several kinds of chocolate pudding pie for a gathering soon.

On the way in to work this morning, I heard Your Mother Should Know and realized that for most people born in the last 20 years, it could be the song they sing about.
Look at that hagbardc, if kids today said to their mom what you said to yours, she'd just say "Yes, honey."

Nothing like listening to Bad Connection by Yaz to make you feel old. I'd bet 1/2 the people I know (the young ones) would listen to that song and either think "Phone lines are down? I don't understand the problem, there's a dozen other ways to contact people quickly" before realizing how old the song must be or just "Wow, that's OLD"

I now have an iPhone. Please tell me what apps you think I should get.

Em and I went to get iPhones and, no surprise, they didn't have any in stock. As a consolation prize I bought myself an iPod classic. I had a lot of fun for a few days putting music on it and watching 2000+songs not make a dent in the storage available. We used it in the Prius on the way to the parade and that was fun too ( Read more... )

I just watched the video for Holiday by Vampire Weekend. I would LOVE to see teenagers dressing up like this as a way to rebel. Sort of a weird, generational offshoot of the Punk movement.

On Friday I walked home from work. It was a very nice day to do so and I had the company for most of the way of rayan4d2. I started out at 23 Drydock Ave in Boston and walked to South Station, where I met up with rayan4d2. That was 1.5 miles. We then walked another 6.7 miles to rayan4d2's place.
