If you want to know the people who are really exploited at most universities, look at the university support staff. At least here at MIT, they're treated like furniture

In general, I can definitely see the validity behind this statement, however, I happen to know that things are a lot different at schools like MIT than they are at a public university like the one here in Montana. From what I heard, that's very, very true about bigger schools with a name and a reputation like MIT, but I ASSURE you, the administrative assistants here at UofM are a LOT better off (and better treated) than the gradstudents. I also think a lot of it has to do with your major (for obvious reasons).
