Well, insofar as fursuits go, for lions, Solion is TOPS. (www.lionofthesun.com) I would also suggest Midori, whom is making my fursuit!! (www.dream-crafter.net) Beetlecat also does awesome work...(www.beetlecatoriginals.com) And I also enjoy Scribblefox's work! (www.onefurall.com)

Though I don't have a suit YET I've checked out a lot of people, in case you couldn't tell. XD Funny thing is, too, I got to impromptu suit once, and the suit happened to be...a LION. XD Teehee! I had a blast. ;)

I'm glad you had so much fun at the con! I've never been to Rainfurrest, but it sounds like so much fun! At least you got to go there in lieu of missing AC! XD Also glad to hear about the job situation...I really hope it's everything you hope for!!

Certainly can't argue with any of those suggestions... Though I don't know first hand, I've heard nothing but amazing things about scribblefox's suits, and all the bettlecat suits that I've seen have absolutely kicked ass! Midori's suits are really cute too, especially her canines... I take it you're getting a wolf suit?

It's amazing how addicting suiting can be... Once you do it once, you're hooked :P It's like some kinda drug or something :P

Rainfurrest was indeed really awesome... I think there's really something to be said for the smaller cons... especially the more local ones. I'm also gonna be attending FC this year I think, which I've heard nothin but fantastic things about.

Anyway, thanks again for the suggestions, i think those are the best i've seen so far. Hope everything is going well for you!

It was great to see you too. I still am gonna pull for a job in Seattle, but if you've found something ideal, I can hardly discourage you from going for it!

Congrats on the Kenpo. How advanced are you in that?

Seattle definitely has it's advantages... Trust me, I'm still planning on looking there ;)

I'm officially a purple belt as of thursday!

Random selfish question: if you got a job at nccsp, would that mean you would potentially NOT be moving in a year and a half?

no... it's in Ashland, OR.... I'd definitely be moving :P

How far from Portland is Ashland, out of curiosity?

A long ways...about 5 hours or so. Ashland is just barely above the California Border

Glad you had fun at RF.

I've had a hell of a time finding fursuit makers for felines at all that do a realistic job. Beetlecat is one of the finest suitmakers out there, and I'm in contact with her, but she has not done many cats. I'm just waiting until she's comfy with cat-making to push that way. Otherwise, LionoftheSun is the next best option. If you look at all of his past cat projects, they are all REALLY good, but I'm super-picky about realism, and the photos that show different sides kinda leave me with a tickle in my brain that "something" is not right. Can't put my finger on it. Since Bettlecat is extremely detailed and picky about realism, I'm hoping that she will overcome those issues.

Ashland Oregon isn't a bad place. I don't have particular details about the town, but the general area leaves a lot of options for the gorgeous nature.

I'm in my eighth week of school here, too. Good thing it moves fast.
