We will grow old, get sick and die. It is simple and inescapable. It will happen, no matter what we do. Depending on your beliefs, we might even be reincarnated to do it again. Why then do we seek the preservation of things that do not preserve? We spend money on beauty products to cover the signs that we are aging, or to maintain a visage ( Read more... )

Real success in life is measured in terms of one's experiences, and in the legacy one leaves behind--and I'm not talking about monuments, big buildings, or an inheritance for the kids. Real success in life is measured by the lives you touch.

Make the most of the life you have; enjoy it the best you can, and try to make it more enjoyable for those around you. Some people get a kick out of defying Father Time, even if it's only cosmetic. There's nothing wrong with that, so long as you're doing it for the right reasons.

Life can be hell if you let it, but only if you let it. There are always possibilities, and there's always a way to change things for the better, though often the change can be scary at first. Believe me, I've come to know this firsthand....

Make someone smile, and in doing so you'll smile, too. The smile itself may not last long, but its effects can ripple through a lifetime. :)

Well...legacy, memory, inheritance all cannot be in such vain. Although the
physical shell will wilt and fade the memory/legacy (whatever you want to call it) is not in how much money you made, how high you were on the business ladder, how much your house cost, etc. It's the memory left in the people that you helped to continue on in life (no matter how vain it may be) Life will be fun and enjoyable if you let it...most today though bog themselves down and trap themselves in so much that they create a "living hell" around them so to speak and they begin to believe life is meaningless...but even if life is in vain and no one can escape death and time, just enjoy it...it may be short and bitter-sweet but if you truly can embrace life then you will eventually come to accept that death is part of life and that you will be gone and even if no one will ever remember at least you had fun going through it...it's a fun ride if you let it be
