"I believe we should make these changes, but only after I'm done benefiting from them first."

At least that would mean he was self-aware enough to realize his hypocrisy. It's the fact that I don't think he realizes it that boggles my mind.

I was pretty sure he wasn't aware of he fact, but that's pretty much all it comes across as which just... sigh. "As long as it doesn't negatively affect me I don't care" is such a sad mindset.

We sort of have the same sort of thing over here. All these MPs who had their college educations for free jacking up university charges because the government shouldn't subsidize them or something...

At least this kind of idiocy isn't confined to this side of the ocean? On the other hand, the stupidity is spreading :(

Question. What about the people who cannot afford private education?

They will be taken care of by this magical thing called a "free market". I have been told by GBF that this magical free market will foster competition and drive prices for private education down so much that everyone will be able to afford it.

I should note that this person also thinks that large corporations are inherently corrupt and will take advantage of the average consumer by price gouging so I don't even know what.

...I...bwah?

They...they do know what a free market is, right?

You mean what it really is or what they think it is? Because I'm pretty sure he thinks a free market is a magic word that makes everything he wants cheap and affordable.
