FF.net purge

A number of people have told me that FF.net is 'purging' MA-rated fanfics. This appears to be triggered by the action of a group of fans known as Critics United, who report fanfics that violate FF.net's terms of use. Some of my fanfics might be affected ( Read more... )

Does anyone still post on FFnet?^^ It seems like they only want PG or gen stuff.

They do allow M-rated, just not MA. They banned MA and higher back in 2002, so it's not a new policy. But they do seem overzealous sometimes in their 'puritanical' views. And it seems like a lot of the readers/writers on FFnet now are youngish in mindset.

I've found myself preferring Adultfanfiction(dot)net, Mediaminer(dot)org, Archive of Our Own, and the Wonderful World of Make Believe (squidge dot org)

True. I think many have moved on to other archives like AO3.

You have to keep in mind, they said, "No MA fics allowed" in the first place.

OH NO SOMEONE IS POSTING PROPERLY LABELED DIRTY FICS ON THE INTERWEBZ!!! THINK OF THE LITERATE CHILDREN!!!

I've got an adult one... "R" rating, I suppose, but I don't care if it's removed. Too apathetic.
