Kecia, if that makes you a bad mother, then lord help the rest of the mothers out there. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with taking a break. (I only babysit and I need that kind of break.) A happy mother is a good mother. The very fact that you are worried about not stimulating him every single moment is an indication of just how wonderful a mother you must be. :-) I see the same thing in my friend Penny- constantly worried that she's not doing enough to stimulate and help her sons grow and learn. Her toddler, the eldest, is the smartest 2 year old I have ever met- already learned how to spell his name. And trust me, he watches hours and hours of tv.
