oh my god! i hadn't realized!

I won't bug you if you don't want the bother, but do feel free to let me know what's up. can i offer any recuperation advice or anything like that?

where are they doing it? (i had my hyst at swedish, although they didn't take the ovaries at the time)

fwiw, i found sliding into menopause utterly uneventful. my skin gets itchier more easily. that's about it as far as physical effects. i hope you have as easy a time as i did, if not easier.

good luck with the procedure!

I'm having it at Providence Hospital in Anchorage AK. Surgery is Tuesday and they think I'll be released into my Mom's care by Wednesday. If you'd like contact info, please feel free to send me an email and I'll get it for you.

Thanks!

!! Wait, what?!?!

Not asking for details unless you feel the need to share them, but my thoughts are with you. I hope you have a speedy recovery -- abdominal surgery can be a real bitch! And with all the emotional and hormonal stuff added to it... *hugs*

Pretty simply I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was fourteen and I've been fighting an uphill battle with my ovaries since then. After the several miscarriages at the end of last year, I've come to the conclusion and my doctor agrees that my best bet for continued good health is to just get those bad boys out.
