But, as time passes, I lose my love of Christmas. I lose everything that I once loved about the holiday- the family spirit, the holiday cheer, the ( Read more... )

Oh man, if I went to the beach on Christmas, I'd freeze my ass off!

I hope that you enjoy your beach day.

I'm from the Soviet Union and IN SOVIET RUSSIA, CHRISTMAS CELEBRATES YOU! Lol, actually Russians don't really celebrate Christmas. Though now they may be celebrating their own Christmas which falls on January 8, I think, according to the Russian Orthodox religion.

When I was younger, I was sad I didn't celebrate, but I'm happy now. We often go skiing on Christmas day and it's fun. I'm glad I don't have to deal with it. One Christmas, I went to the beach with my family and friend.

I love Florida most when I step outside the airport every year when I go in the winter and I'm greeted with that familiar muggy humidity. It's a nice change in the winter from back home where I definitely can't wear a tee shirt.

Sorry your happy memories of Christmas got taken away from you, but you're doing your own tradition, and it's much better for you in the long run. Hope you have a great beach day on the 25th! Maybe I'll go to the beach back home on Christmas day this year too, but it will be super cold, windy, foggy, and possibly rainy.

The best Christmas I ever had was spent by myself. I heartily recommend it to anyone. It was two free days off work and I had so much fun, including hiding out in a tent made from blankets under my table (don't judge me - I was on my own and it seemed like a good idea at the time!).

You're going to have a lovely day.
