Week 16- Breaking the Fast

I sat there, unable to speak, as the therapist watched my every glance, sweat, and shift in movement. If I drank water, she wrote it down, noting the time. It was as if my thirst was an indicator of strife. I’m fourteen, I get thirsty. I guess therapists write everything down.

I'm glad that you found a space where it was easier to speak it... I like to think that this community is a space like that, too... certainly not as stuffy as a doctor's office, and a heckuva lot more supportive. I think you know we feel for you here, even if we can't make much of a difference, though, I don't expect you need us to, just know that we are safe, that we nod, you touch us, and it means something. I hope that matters a little.
