I heard her talking on 885 Monday afternoon. As I was leaving work at like 2p to give up on Monday and sleep through it all. Which was at least as important as how hard they rocked, though I as well am sad to have missed them, esp. at such a tight spot as the earl.

Ben Folds rocked the Tabernacle completely down last night. It's gone now.

Why, whatever did you do to make yourself so sleepy?

It's a shame about the Tabernacle, but if it had to go out, that seems like an appropriate catalyst. Did he have a full band and stuff, or was it mostly just him on the keys? Was it more of an Elton John vibe or more of a Marvin Gaye vibe?

OK, I know it wasn't a Marvin Gaye vibe.

I just never get any sleep on the weekends. Case in point!

He had two guys, drums and bass, but they were there... about half the time, and though they enabled a good bit of rocking out, they were totally there to highlight him, and not so much to rock out themselves... Man, he totally effing rocked out, though. But there were a few quiet moments in there too, for tastes of Elton John-y goodness.

We should be in touch about these things in the future! Cameraderie is essential at shows, at least for me.

And by Cameraderie, I mean the cheery association of cameras with each other.

For a while I thought that Bradford would never stop monopolizing me. I'm glad I just preempted that whole thing, because even though we had nothing to talk about, he just kept on going!

Hmmm... no they are from the UK. But perhaps they were in town for a few days? Not sure.

Man, I wanna go to Soto.
