Guys, I watched something fantastic today. I first heard about the movie called So Close (Chik Yeung Tin Si) from ur5amaj0r and I wanted to check it out, because the amount of girl!power seemed almost too good to be true.

LOL, I remember seeing this as a teenager. What intrigued me most was that Shu Qi, a Taiwanese, spoke near-perfect Cantonese, and even I as a native Canto can't quite achieve that.

The fight scenes are also quite good!

OMG, she's Taiwanese? Wow, didn't know that. Also, I have absolutely no skills when it comes to Chinese, but I was very proud of myself when I actually recognised, a few minutes into the movie, that it wasn't Mandarin they were speaking but Cantonese. <3

The fight scenes are fabulous. The perfect movie, yes.

Yep, Shu Qi is Taiwanese, but she dated HK actor Leon Lai for a while and has based her career in HK for the past decade and half, so I imagine she had to be fluent in Canto one way or another.

My favorite part is when Karen Carpenter is singing "Close to You" while she is leaving her first assassination in the movie and the security guards are running towards her trying to stop her. I thought it was a fabulous fight scene with great music.

Yes! You must! It shouldn't be that difficult to find, since it was internationally released as well.
