Oh, Criminal Minds. As if anyone watches for the plot anymore.

This week, it's all about gambling and poker and tight jeans. Tight jeans and super-duper-über hot JJ. Like I said, what plot?

The pretty was almost overwhelming in this episode... and I thank them for it! Nice to see that JJ and Emily can't bear to be more more than three inches away from each other at all times, too.

I too shipped Clark/Lois and was oddly expecting a Desperate Housewives crossover midway through the episode.

Most of the time, it seems like they're trying to keep the two women apart at all costs, but this week? Nothing of the sort! I thoroughly enjoyed the eyecandy.

Observations in random order.

1) I loved seeing Emily and JJ sitting next to each other (again), especially twice in one ep. Someone must've heard our prayers.

2) I'm starting to finally get tired of Emily's new look. I get that all her stuff went to JJ after she was 'killed', and that it was all so awesome JJ refuses to part with them (not to mention they smell like Emily). But it's been long enough now for Emily to have gone shopping. Enough with the hand-me-downs.

Although I must mention that Emily's wearing a lot of high collared shirts. JJ been to eager in the bedroom ( ... )

1) Ditto. It's been a while since they've spent this much screentime together. More of this in the future, plz!

2) THIS. I get it that the whole ordeal might've changed Emily's style a little (also, maybe her 'old' look wasn't really her), but this is ridiculous. Especially since she looks less comfortable now than she did before.

3) That "Why not?" was funny, I agree. :'D There was a hint of Paget's comic genius in it as well.

4) That's what I loved about it! You could tell that Paget knew exactly what she was doing, holding that camera. I also love the continuity: I don't think we've ever seen anyone else from the team with a camera.

LOL at Garcia's eye mask. The whole Morgan thing though....to be expected. I mean, they really wouldn't go that far to compromise that witty brother/sister relationship they have.

JJ and Emily are back to sharing clothes. Well actually, I buy the theory JJ isn't giving back Emily her clothes because she likes being more butch then Emily. I'm sure I've seen that green turtleneck on JJ before....

I think there was a missed opportunity with Reid's, kinda, going undercover thing in the exclusive casino.

They could've dressed him up all suave-like and had him be escorted by two highly attractive ladies.

I whole-heartedly agree. That scene/segment was oddly rushed; and he spotted the unsub immediately. As if.

It was a bit pointless really.

All that happened was he walked in, sat down, moved tables, then tried to touch Superman's ball!

It's come down to just watching the show for the pretty and though completely understandable, I find it more than a little sad. The writing has gone way downhill and the wild ways they catch the criminals these days makes it feel so rushed in almost every episode. Gamblers, especially poker players, are very touchy and superstitious (hence the reason for the guy's killing spree to begin with). Just because he doesn't want Reid to touch his 8-ball and that he even has an 8-ball just makes him automatically the unsub?

Oh well, I can nitpick all day, what it comes down for me is I will continue to watch as long as AJ and Paget are on the show.

And on a side note, did you see where AJ was recently named the 4th Hottest woman on TV by TV Guide? She's #1 in my book but it's about damned time she got some recognition so I'll live with it.

It is incredibly sad, there's no two ways about it. It's even sadder when I think about the production value, because once Erica Messer got the reins, that part of the show actually improved a whole lot. Unfortunately, the writing department can't keep up.

But yeah, as you said, as long as A.J. and Paget are on it, I'm watching. They deserve all the awards. ♥
