It's a good day to be an Emily Prentiss fangirl.
Criminal Minds, as in, The Emily & JJ Show.
Just so much eye candy this week! And that one scene in the end? I think I stopped breathing there for a second, because not only was it just very, very cool, it was really quite femslashy as well.
Okay, there really are only five things I should mention about this episode:
#1 Emily wearing a baseball cap and kevlar. AT THE SAME TIME.
GUH. Emily, you hot thing, you! This is the Emily Prentiss I've been waiting for ever since the first episode of the season. Hot, butch, kicking ass and just superior.
Perfect way to start the episode.
#2 Emily's wardrobe is almost back to normal!
It's the end of the turtlenecks! Praise the Lord.
#3 Emily. Speaking Spanish. YESSSSSS.
An entire scene of Emily speaking Spanish. BRAIN. CANNOT. COMPUTE.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....eeeeeeee...eee...!
#4 Emily takes it like a motherfucking BOSS.
As I already gushed about this on tumblr, Emily is a frigging superhero~ She's like, 'nah, not a big deal. Just a flesh wound.'
#5 JJ. Miss Obvious.
JJ: [as Emily goes down] You're hit!
No "Are you okay?", "Did you get it bad?", or any of such variety. No, JJ goes straight into panic mode, stating the obvious, because her girlfriend was just gunned down in front of her.
We should've seen the aftermath, how JJ ran back downstairs to make sure Emily was okay. What a wasted opportunity!
