Time flies when you're trying to survive, too

An old friend of mine recently asked me about my dark secrets. I told him I tend not to have any. This is true enough, but that's because I come out about them eventually. There's stuff here I haven't been open about until now, but it finally feels like I can do so.

Good to hear an update!

I have to focus and concentrate to do for my home what so many people seem to be able to do by reflex action. And there's so often something better to do.

Oh yes. This is very much my life.

I am so glad to hear school is going well for you. :) Love to you and B.

Will you be able to make Pcon? I'm only coming out for the con this year.

I'm afraid not. What with blackfyr's financial aid winding up suspended, our cash-saving maneuver of going on food stamps turned into something more mandatory for our needs than projected. This means we weren't able to save money to make PCon.

I'm sorry you guys can't make it. I'll only be out for the con so doing anything else is impossible. One of these years we shall cross paths again. *hugs*

You have my deepest empathy on all this...

I think many of us with ADD/ADHD tendencies have that "trouble with cleaning" thing...I certainly do, and in one of the learning community courses I teach now, there's an exercise we've done with one of the other professors who does a few classes within it where we were tested on our ability to multi-task, how this might reflect one's attention (or lack thereof), and what the lives of folks in that position are like...and it made me go, "Wow, that's pretty damn accurate." I gave up on the exercise after five seconds, when it was actually ninety...and that time took forever to end. Ugh.

Yipe! Glad to hear things are looking up.

Our move from San Jose to Seattle took a lot more out of me, both financially and mentally, than I expected it to, but things appear to be smoothing out for us, too.
