upon further thought, (including your hours) I really think your boss (and possibly the troll whose name i can not remember the guy that is thisclose to be called on sexual harrasment) are being petty and spiteful that you did turn the ops position. and in true petty and spiteful nature will not mention ANY promotion to you again unless it is color.

and managenemt and employee payroll are usally> figured diferently. ( though I'm guessing lead is still hourly so....)
