So I have failed, miserably, to set time aside to write everyday (or almost everyday). Even though I said that I would. Even though I had stuff to work on- my still unedited NaNoWriMo novel from last year and ideas for short stories stampeeding though my brain

Good for you! It sounds like you've got a good plan. That's always my downfall- "well, I'm just going to take a little break..." and forget it, I'm done.
