Awww hope that heals fast!! I never got cut by a knife before (but i trip and scrape my knees a lot haha..)
Instructors always warn students but its inevitable to some when rushing to get something done or just being careless. One of my classmates a few years ago also got a deep cut from cutting a matte board. She fainted from seeing all the blood...
Thanks, I hope it heals too (if not only for convenience's sake, typing is a little bit more awkward now haha)
And wow, fainting? That's so intense! I hope I never have to go through that lol. Good luck avoiding what seems inevitable !! Defy the statistics!! lol
Haven't slipped up with one yet, but everytime I use one I feel like I will. I keep imagining it'll somehow not cut, bounce off the paper, and lodge itself in my eye. orz
Haha yeah, the previous week I dropped the knife and it actually stuck through the wooden floor at an almost perpendicular angle. It was really creepy to imaging how it would have been if my foot was in that same spot instead (shudder!)
Does cosplay count as "art business"? lol;; 'cos I've cut myself making my keyblade that one time u_u
That story sounds rather epic, although I cannot imagine myself not feeling such a large GAPING WOUND IN MY HAND (ow). Maybe he had a very(x40)..delayed reaction time!
DON'T LET YOUR CUT GET INFECTED. :[[ Yay for you being smarter than the guy in the story, oho!
Haha it's good enough (why is learning-- heck, why does ANYTHING carry the potential for so much pain?? haw haww) And lol really, you don't feel it. Perhaps for the better. I don't know how sharp keyblades are, but exacto knives are meant to cut lots of stuff super precisely, so flesh is no biggy... i seriously almost didn't even feel it go in, it just slid in and out like it was cutting through jello! And it did it so quickly that my blood didn't even show up on the blade.
Er... I hope it's not infected, I didn't have time to properly treat it (just poured rubbing alcohol on it and then used sports tape to wrap padding on the finger) haha so unhealthy
Oh lol I meant I was using my x-acto knife to cut the part that make up my keyblade for KH cosplay. XD My keyblade, itself, is very blunt, fortunately. ;P
But like..that guy's cut sounded like it was massively large in comparison to yours? That's what I got from what you said, anyway, haha. I know people usually don't feel small cuts (myself included!) but it's just that one sounded rather large and....yeah. (I'm really good with English.)
It's kind of cool and scary at the same time that your blood didn't show up on the blade! So maybe we can start killing people with x-acto knives (or just killing ourselves..) and we wouldn't get caught because there's no visual evidence! LOL I don't even know.
I think rubbing alcohol does the job, but maybe you should be sure and put some Neosporin on it? :) Oh the woes of a student! Work > Health! hahaha..
ahaha I've lost count of how many times I've hurt myself with either an exacto or a utility blade from making my models. Just this past studio, I actually sliced a chunk of my nail and finger tip off, wrapped it in paper towels + masking tape, and kept working. I found that sliced off piece later too, near my cutting board lol.
Be careful when working with like super glue stuff too. We use this glue called zap-a-gap and I've managed to glue my fingers together so many times and had to rip them apart and sometimes, skin gets ripped off and I bleed lol XD
Yeah seriously, you architects... Your nail and tip thing reminds me of my sister except she was slicing tomatoes with a butcher knife and cut off the tip of her thumb (it looks fine now, lolll) And yeah... did you have the impulse to stick the sliced piece onto your thumb?! haha sorry I just had to ask, cuz I /think/ that's what my sister did. LOL
....ok, I don't know what's creepier, these bloody stories or the way you sound so deliriously casual about them. Lol you masochistic architects, you
lol dude seriously, I'm like so desensitized by blood on my fingers nowadays lol. Everyone cuts themselves at least once during a project hahah. I've shanked myself in the stomach before too lol XD Accidentally cut too quickly and kinda stabbed my stomach... *fail* hahahah
and omg, for our final project, like one of the students cut really deep into his finger and he fainted from exhaustion and blood lost. it was so bad T__T'
