Second Author's note: This is just a part of the story, albeit a sligtly fictionalized version, of how I met Justin, my husband. I hope I have an opportunity to write more of it.

Third Author's note: I really do love pineapple and chicken pizza. It's delicious. “We’re ( Read more... )

Ah, I understand what you meant now by excerpt. I do hope you share more in the future! Clever use of the prompt as the name of the bar!

What a wonderful vignette! I'm glad the pineapple didn't get in the way, but I agree with your husband. I hope you do write more.

Weirdly, I love fresh cherries, but can’t stand maraschino, lol. :)

On the plus side, I love pineapple on pizza.

I love the taste of cherries in everything, but something about cherries themselves weirds me out, LOL, I think I like maraschino cherries because they're like chewy sweet candy

pineapple pizza is the best pizza

Sweet! I totally do want more of this story. I'm with you... I think the "What do you do?" question coming up in a first conversation is banal, and shows a complete lack of imagination. But at least you got past it. I'm also not fond of math, but am annoyingly good enough at it to consistently continue to find work involving math. I guess it was pretty obvious when this prompt came up where you were going with it! ;-)

J was very shy and unoriginal during our first meeting, LOL. Mentally, I am not sure how he felt [though I suppose I could ask him], but at the time, I could not believe that Kat was basically forcing me together with some guy, I imagine J felt similarly and felt forced to talk to me especially when we got stuck at a table together and everyone else was engaged in conversation amongst each other

I will never understand the horror that is pineapple on pizza-- or chicken pizza, for that matter. But it sounds as if the two of you found a good compromise, and complement each other rather than mirror each other.

Actually, Pineapple chicken pizza is one of my favorite pizzas LOL. Though, now that J and I are married, we just each order our own pizzas so he does not have to even see my love for pineapple pizza, lol.
