Well, I can't think of a good example, but yeah. I've been procrastinating, and it's largely due to excitement about knitting.
Today I found more free patterns, some of which were quite cool:
http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter04/PATTpasha.html - a knit penguin *o*
http://whimsicalknittingdesigns.blogspot.com/2006/11/touch-of-whimsy-fingerless-gloves.html - some pretty wrist warmers ('cause my hands are always cold), piccy here:

http://magknits.com/Feb07/patterns/peekaboo.htm - winter gloves I'm going to make (maybe even this weekend), 'cause I'm tired of having cracking, aching, freezing cold to the point of my bones aching hands >.<#
That, plus my new Patternworks catalog, has had me absolutely elated about knitting! I've started the armhole part of the back of Eric's sweater; by this weekend, hopefully I'll be starting on the front.
Someone told me we're supposed to get the worst snow yet of this winter starting Saturday. Injustice! ToT If that is the case, then it's hot chocolate, oatmeal, and mitten knitting for me...And homework, and free time with Eric.
Stay warm this weekend! Hope you're all doing okay,
Love, Lyssa
P.S. I also saw a pattern (don't remember the addy, though) for a completely knitted underwire bra. The "underwire" was a specific knit stitch that gave it more support, and there was a stitch between breast parts that separated and lifted. O.O' That's damned impressive, right there.
Edit: found it:
http://www.interweave.com/signup/knit/bra-ty.asp?sid=520661667 Description as follows: "I wanted to make a novelty bra that could be fun and still fairly functional. A slip-
stitch “underwire” with a single-crochet edge gives support at the bottom of the cups,
while a slip-stitch column between the cups creates a strong join and slightly gathers
the fabric around it. The straps-a halter strap, two shoulder straps, and one strap
criss-crossed across the back-[I think of a halter top as having two straps tied
behind the neck. I don’t “see” the halter, then two straps, then one. Are there lots of
straps or are these alternatives?]are worked as crochet chains with two yarns held
together. The yarn is very soft and yummy against the skin."
