Dear HBO, if you are taking requests, could you please consider adapting Kushiel's Dart next? Cause that would be awesome.

I honestly would want all unknowns. anything else is often problematic.

and please please no megan fox, the girl is batshit and would ruin it with her attitude and lack of understanding of how things work.
sorry, i know she is pretty but...just no.
also to be honest, not old enough for melisande. there is a knowledge and experience in her that she could not pull off. i'd go for catherine zeta jones if i had to have a name ;)

Ysandre deserves soo much better than Lively, sorry, but that's just facts.
again, I'd prefer an unknown, but I could be thrilled with a young cate blanchett...

Hey no problem :) I loved Megan in Jennifer's Body, she actually gives an underappreciated nuanced performance there and I'm a gossip girl dork so I think Blake is fab and I liked her in this random movie she did about being a molested pageant queen who falls in love with her mortician (it's . . .complicated ;p).

I'd go all unknowns though too! It worked like whoa for Mad Men.

For myself, I totally suck at remembering actor/actress names. But, Joanne Kelly (Bianca, Dresden Files) always struck me, looks wise, as suiting Melisande. And for some reason, I always picture Joscelin looking like Viggo Mortensen, no matter what.

Otherwise, yeah, I may have to go with mostly unknowns, too--I trust HBO. At least on casting, I trust HBO of late.
