So, some good things

Everyone's Christmas prezzies. both given and received, were WIN! *giggles like a mad elf* And isn't it wonderful to get to buy books for partners who will happily let you read a thing when they are finished? I am video game controller handicapped. Give me a game pad and I completely lose all hand-eye coordination whatsoever. I have to stick to PC platform games where I can use the mouse. I gravitate towards WoW and the new Star Wars game. And Farmville - don't judge me! The husband plays Skyrim on the PC using his XBox controller. It looks fantastic but is a HUGE time-sink.

You're on Xbox Live? Feel free to add me (my username is the same there as well).

You'll get the hang of the controller soon enough, especially if you have a Bethesda game around to practice with ;] I also got Skyrim for my birthday, but I have a huge gaming backlog, and I want to finish New Game Plus on Nier first. (I know everyone says Nier is a bad game, but I enjoy playing it... -.-; )

Xbox user ID is NekoWorldOrder, add me darn it! Also, for the coordination-impaired, I highly recommend something like an Orc with two-weapon fighting in heavy armor. Just put all your perks into One-Handed Weapons and Heavy Armor, alternating between increasing your staminia and your health. It's easy and satisfying.

Let me know when you get the yarn thing sorted out on Etsy. I know a few people who love yarn and would be interested in purchasing said yarn.
