Dear itchy dry skin/hive things: Fuck off. *pops two Benedryl*
Well...at least it might help the insomnia. Might.
It's not like I was all geared up to be productive or anything. *sigh ( Read more... )

I have a suggestion for the itchy dry skin/hives things: get a bottle of Selsun Blue dandruff shamoo, or the generic equivalent (1% selenium sulfide) and use it as shower gel with a loofah every day. This keeps my own itchy recurring rashness in check very nicely; hopefully it'll do the same for you.

*hugs* Yay for getting your poem out! Too bad about the potatoes, though. Sometimes one can't just stop on a dime in the midst of the editing process.

This will probably sound weird, but if you drink green or herbal tea, save the teabags in the refrigerator, and use as a compress to relieve computer-generated eyestrain - or else just keep a cucumber in the fridge and cut off slices as needed. A minute or so of a cold compress can make a big difference, especially when one is short of sleep.

Hmm...that makes sense. My partner also said it worked for him, so I shall give it a try!
Green tea compresses, I can also do. :) And if I had cucumbers, I'd pickle them with ginger, hee--though I will remember this and try it, too! THANK YOU!
Right now, the benedryl has me wanting to pass out.

Best of luck with the skin thing. I'm suddenly having all these similar woes due to sunscreen. My sympathies.

Woo poet-productivity!

Liberal application of cocoa butter is helping the skin. And making me smell like a white chocolate bonbon.

But god, I am sorry abt the sunscreen itchiness. I feel you.

See, last week there was a trip the the salon for a haircut.
And they used a weird shampoo thing.
And in 24 hrs--BAM! Scalp reaction.

It took me a week to find a shampoo that didn't exacerbate it Nope, still no idea what sets me off, though so far, tea tree oil, too much citrus may be part of it. (Tea tree, definitely. Sadly.) I think I react to a mixture of certain essential oils and moisturizing and pH. This...is not helpful in figure what shampoo to buy. (Mostly because I have no strips here to muck about with pH testing.)

I hate being a guinea pig.
