Yay, huzzah, you rock! Dancing in the kitchen with knives while cooking is a most excellent thing; it keeps one toned and cheerful, and keeps other people out of the kitchen - as long as you're not juggling the knives in there, everything should be fine. Actually, even the juggling wouldn't be a problem, if it weren't for the inevitable dropping of the juggled blades, which is bad for them as well as hazardous to your bare feet ( ... )

I want to think of something articulate to say, to thank you for the insightful response and the time you took to make it. Yet all I can think about is, "YOU QUOTED GOR AT ME, OMGSQUEE! SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS ME!" Ahem. *giggle*
My articulation flies out the window to a big naughty grin plastered across my face, and I'll just say, "Yup. That's it. " *GRIN*

I actually think I have one of N&V's videos, actually, as well as some other cds and DVDs a good friend of mine gifted me, which I need to break out and dive into.
I also need some more dance/workout clothes, but I am still working out what I want for that. Also the trauma of shopping for clothes is sometimes full of suck and fail. But I am a little more optimistic, as I found a great skirt over the weekend-that fit. (Thank you hippie shop at the beach. :))

Oh, and the fruit juice with jello idea is great! I am going to steal that. I am perhaps weird cause I do like jello. Um, and pudding. Lots of pudding.

LOL, Tal! Yes indeed, I'm a troublemaking, blade-wielding Torvaldslander Free Woman, and my poems and songs are still known in Gor - I won the Free Women's Nard-Kicking Contest at Winterfest in Vanir's Fjord, and was once Ubara of glorious Ar for almost two whole months, woo! Quaint, scenic Port Kar will always have my heart, though - ah, the tharlarion-haunted marshes of the Vosk delta in the autumn fogs....

I've even actually taught a little white-silk kajira to pole-dance - tell you what, I'd have taught her ever so much better if I'd seen Jenyne Butterfly''s videos, but this was many years ago.. The best Gorean dancer I know is Na'Tea of the Jewel of Gleaming Thassa - if you ever go there, tell her Mistress Jess sends love ( ... )

While I know some of Gor, I have not done Goreanesque scenes (though adapting elements of such seem wonderful to me. (Ideas of being the beloved/kept property, cared for and valued as the object, yes, please.) Just depends on my mood at the time. I'm open to a lot.) It's on my list to check out, for fun--the books, I mean. Other things are optional. ;)

I am so trying the Knox jello. Yogurt is...well..vile, sadly. Unless it's a dill and garlic based sauce, then it's awesome. :)

Oh, also at the head shop hippie store, I got THE BEST PATCHWORK BAG EVAR. EVAR. 10+ pockets of lovely color and patches and it's wonderful. I will use it until it falls apart into dust.

You know, we should meet sometime. :) laurelindel has a lot of good to say about you. :)

Most people call "dancing with knives" by another name: marital arts. ;)

Martial arts after I get well into dancing. Give me a year or two.
(And then maybe Krav.)

You are awesome and I'm glad you are finding a physical activity that you love.

My ankle is improving and I am back to the rehabbing--this time, for good. Calf muscle is developing, knee hurting less. It seems to ease up when I do sqats, stretch, and use the therapy band. My core is more flexible and my new apron fits a little better. Yay definition!

Much yaying!
