UGH...
tonight was supposed to be good and fun. i had just had a fantastic afternoon with Marco and I was in a fantastic mood. better than i have been in weeks.
somewhere along the way tonight i pissed off one of my coworkers. we'll call her X. so it went like this: i was on front register, X was on drive, another barista (henceforth known as B) and the shift (known as S). B was a floater, which means she basically just helped with drinks and didn't have a register. S was the supervisor.
Anyway,
at one point we get a few cars on drive and I'm making drinks. X's screen goes off on drive so i ask her to come put it back up. S was showing B how to clean the oven. that could have waited, for one. and then X was filling the ice bins, or something, and that too could have waited because we had cars and drinks. no one was there to hand out the drinks when they were done, nor was anyone around to collect when the next car pulled up. i'm doing my best to multitask. someone would walk away from the cold beverage station (fraps and such) and i was left alone.
i asked B if she could ring up, which is when S called her over for the oven. so i was alone. i asked them not to leave me alone, because i could only do so much.
X took offense, for whatever the reason. i apologized, she was just like "yeah whatever." so i talked to B and was like, "this is bullshit." so B told me to not let it get to me and ruin my night, i'd had an awesome day (she's the only one at work who knows that Marco & I are back together) and that i shouldnt let this shit bring me down.
so i was okay then. after B left (she was off the clock at 10) i tried apologizing to X again and was met with the same attitude. okay, fine. i went about my business and cleaned and stocked, etc...
so then later on after we close and lock the doors i'm cleaning the espresso machine and she says, i shit you not, "just a word of advice --i dont really care if you take it or not--the next time you feel like you're under a lot of pressure you should try talking to your coworkers." um. hello? i DID. and she gave me attitude for it. so basically, the last 2 hours of my shift were tense as fuck. and the worst part is i have to work with her for about an hour tomorrow and it's going to be the most tense hour ever.
*sigh*
marco made me cry, but in a good way... we're both really going to try... <3
