This is awesome! I've been meaning to make a Doctor Who scarf for my dad. He has the original series on five million VHS tapes somewhere in his house. lol Keep up the good work. ^_^

It's a pretty good project if you have a lot of time to do it. It's all garter stitch, so once I get in the groove of doing it I can watch TV or read blogs while knitting. Especially for a relatively-newbie-type like me, it's a good project to feel accomplished for making.

If you're planning for a holiday, though, start making it about three months before. :/ I've been working on it for almost two months solid so far, and still have about a third left to knit. Totally worth it, though.

I love knitting while watching movies/tv. My housemate and I have a knitting night pretty much every night. lol Are you on Ravelry.com?

I have an account, though I don't think I've done more than lurk thus far. My username is Lyssian there as well if you're curious. :D

that is a PERFECT icon for this comment. Though it looks like sort of a mixed reaction between awe and disgust. D:

I know! :D It is quite comfy. And, like any good intergalactic travel accessory, it's multipurpose. I've used it as a scarf, a shoulder wrap, a sort of crude lasso to flip onto something out of arm's reach and drag it closer, and a pillow. The last of which is actually really useful, if you roll it up around the yarn and needles it makes a nice squishy neck pillow for TV watching.

I really hope I can finish soon. ^_^ So exciting.

It IS useful! Like a stretch-towel! But don't get it dirty or PGGB-soaked or anything.
