join marching band! lol. that takes up some time..and it's fun.

it's ok...he will teach you..you could actually learn from him during the school year. he assigns a 30 minute lesson for ur study hall or lunch study and you go and he teaches you. then next year you will be a little more prepared for marching band. you should be in mallet percussion (aka the xylophone)! it's awesome! :)
