2 soccer games today, totaling about 4 hours on the pitch in the sun. We are so freakin' bushed- and 3 of us weren't even playing. Wow. Ready for multiple cups of tea and a nice sit down.

Just had to explain to a soccer mom that halfway up my longest hill in the middle of a 4 mile run us not the time to called me and discuss the status of her son's practice schedule. Subtle clues like panting heavily and saying 'Callme back in an hour, I'm in the middle of a run' were completely lost on her. Grrr.

What a brilliant Easter morning! Happy Easter, everyone! The bunny was particularly canny this year and brought decorated mangoes to go with the standard plastic eggs filled with strawberries. Lots of chocolate, too, bless his lapidarian little heart. :)

Busy today- 2 soccer games, a run, and a bunch of housework to round things out. I'm going to be wiped by the time bedtime rolls around.

Oh, I saw a bluebird today on my run! I've never seen one this far north before! So wonderful!

Oh, also discovered awesome recipe for gluten free, low glycemic almond muffins. Yum!

Ran today for the first time in ages. Just a little 3K starter run, but it still felt good to be out in the world.

So it all started with picking Elliot up from school on Friday. We stopped to play in the playground afterwards, and both kids were having a pretty good time. Little did they know...Elliot decided to be a boy and jumped from the top of the jungle gym- and hurt his foot. We had the best karate day today, ever. Elliot brought home the class 'pet': a stuffed elephant named Horton. Each kid takes Horton home for a night and writes about what Horton did on his visit.
