Just got my manuscript back. I actually felt good about that one.

Surely I'm nearly up to the ten rejections you're meant to get before someone accepts it? Sure I've only sent this one to one place so far but if you count all my rejections together...

Ah well...

Back to the drawing board...

If it's any consolation, keep in mind that even if something is brilliant it might not be the kind of thing that is "in fashion" at the time you submit it and so it will be rejected on that basis.
