HBP Chapters 1-3
So I'm on to my second reading of the book, and I'm going much slower this time. So I thought I would post on my reactions.
So I loved chapter 1. I had always wondered if and how the muggle government knew about the magical community. And it was a great way to introduce the new minister. Of course the only thing I can say about the new minister is that he's slightly better than Fudge in preparing for Voldemort. Chapter 2 was even more interesting to me. I love Snape in this chapter. He's very similar to characterization in some H/S fics that I've read. I really like how he treats Narcissa, and makes the promise to help Draco, even though you know that what Voldemort asked Draco to do is v. bad. Chapter 3 was pretty normal. It was nice to see how Harry has changed where his uncle definitly has not. Well just my 2 cents.
