Please note I am not engaged... yet but I've been told by the man I love that when he has the money he's buying me a ring, thus the pre-emptive (sp?) on wedding plans.

Park & picnic sound great! I'm going to an engagement party in a few weeks in Lane Cove National Park. Just make sure you get somewhere that isn't exposed or busy. I went to a wedding ceremony in a park and it was so windy that the paperwork blew off a cliff. Maybe a lovely national park with great scenery. You could get pavilions and tarps so that everyone can chill in their fancy but not too fancy clothes.

Also, I think you should have damascus steel rings because of meeting through crazy dangerous bunjankanwhatsit.
