I'm herding mirrors. It's interesting work. Some of these things I didn't even know I had.

Liz is still disconcerted by the idea of a place you can get to just by thinking about going there--even with the Nexus they have a physical door--so she looks mildly uncomfortable as she steps into Intuition's realm for the second time.

That and she's not entirely sure she wants to see what's in those mirrors.

[ Inty looks up and smiles welcomingly. ] Hello. Some of these things are pretty stubborn, but I managed to get a fair few of them to the living room, 'cause I figured that's where you'd come out. I've got a mirror in here for nearly everything, but I figure you might want to start with something you've at least heard before. [ There's a floor-length mirror on a stand, just behind Inty. It's covered by a cloth. ] This one showed up after Eights left. It shows you your heartbeat. It's a bit more fine-tuned than what she was seeing - shows the veins as well as the heart. [ She pulls the cloth aside to let Liz look. ]

((The veins are where emotions are. The heart itself shows true character. When the heart beats, you can see the colours representing these things. Blue-white heart for inner goodness; we've heard that one already. Beyond that, use your imagination. I'm rather curious as to what Liz will see.))

Liz stares into the mirror as though she's looking into the edges of a pool, hands on the frame.

The heart beats and skips and jumps, keeps erratic time like a clock starting to die. The blue white light shines out, chopped at irregular intervals by a tiny filament of red-black, blood tinged with bile. It is clearly something that has been part of the heart for a long time. Often one might not notice it; sometimes it comes through so faintly it's barely there at all. Other places are raw and pulsing, like reaction spikes on a seismograph.

Henry appears, looking mildly confused and worried. He sighs with relief as he sees Liz. "Uh...hi. Sorry for...I don't..." He squints at the mirror Liz is looking into, eyes trying to focus. Disoriented is an understatement.
