3. I should be in a new apt in this complex in a month (see above)
4. Maxwell house and other good coffee brands exist
5. my weird little sense of humor never fails me
6. I have two adorable kittens to come ( Read more... )

Hope you are finally getting some zzzzzs! I called this reply "we are family" because I always have that "I am talking to MY FAMILY" feeling when I read your posts to me.

President Obama has been quite busy this week. I am sure people will be busy over-analyzing the results of the Orders he's signed, etc. on a daily basis, but I'm going to wait and see how I feel NEXT January.

I thought I'd emailed you about my new job, which began in late October. Same company, but different department and a Sane Boss (TM). I'm very pleased with how that's going, and think once she gets over her little bit of control freak-ism I'll be extremely happy.

No comment on "misspelling," but a have much to say about naugahyde (a pain in the naked tattooed ass word to spell if ever there was one!). :-)

Hope you post back or email soon! Love ya, too!

Are you sure it's not the Obama presidency that evoked the "We Are Family?" Sistah Sledge, right?

So I don't know how to spell Naugahyde? I guess I do now. What's funny is that I first spelled it with the "y" and decided to switch to "i".

I do remember you mentioning your new job, but I don't remember if I got sufficiently excited about it back then.

I am a little short on z's right now. I hit the pillow at 6, and woke up before 11:30. But I don't feel too bad, since I had been gradually paying off my old sleep debt. There's a Dave Frishberg song called "GOTTA GET ME SOME Z's." (Actually, you're infamous for having an old sleep debt. How's that going?)

Have you heard yet about "sea kittens?" Look it up. I can't believe it either!

Don't they consider the possibility that it could make a vegetarian sympathizer want to go out and harpoon a whale just to re-establish a sense of tradition and reality?

The meeting where it was decided might have gone something like this:

Joe: How about "Sea Poodles?"

Pam: No! Dogs are filthy! What about...sea KITTENS?

Joe: What do you know about dogs?

Pam: Look, I'm female, what I say goes; you are part of the great evil marginalizing hegemonic obsolete male meat-eating energy that must leave the earth for Her to survive.

Joe (pulling out harpoon): I don't think so.

I wrote to them (under a pseudonymous email) to suggest that they fight abortion by calling fetuses "uterus puppies."
