You're in London? Have you moved here without telling anyone, or are you just visiting? And if the latter, how long are you here for and do you have time for a drink/coffee/dinner?

Yes, I'm in London... I'm sure I facebooked it at the time but FB is so random on what it reports on its news feed. Sadly since arriving I have had virtually no time for anything except working, sleeping and being ill, due to a complex combination of circumstances, and sadly this looks set to continue at least until I've got my PhD proposal sorted... :(

I distinctly haven't got the hang of facebook, except for organising social events. Still, yay that you're here, although boo to having no time. What's the timetable for getting the PhD proposal sorted? I shall come and pester you again then ;>

I am alive, I'm just working very, very hard and when I'm not working I am dying from working very, very hard. I'm as convinced that I want to make a phd proposal as everyone is when they first start a phd. (Hmmm).

You are also alive! How are things going?

I've never actually heard anyone laugh hollowly in real life before. I was quite impressed with myself. It just sort of came out naturally.

I think it's a skill that's worth cultivating.
