What's the difference between a manager, an agent and a record company rep? (all as in people who would deal with a band). The person works for a record company, but one of the words used to describe him in Italian is the English word 'manager'. First, thank you all for your splendid suggestions so far. Now, a question I know I have the right readership to answer: how would you typographically represent the sound of an electric guitar riff in a cartoon?

The prospect of a really, really hard and unrelenting day of work has been immensely brightened by this, which is the funniest thing ever. Especially the erotic poetry.

Can anyone suggest any good nicknames for someone who is always late? The best I have so far is 'Joe Slow', which is nicely colloquial but doesn't have quite the same emphasis. There may be a drink in it for you if you come up with something splendid.

- Do Americans, specifically American teenagers, really/still use the word 'Pop' for the equivalent of English 'Dad', or is this a British perception/outdated/not something teenagers would say? Thanks all! I have discovered that what with MML not having an overall head of department, it apparently goes to the Graduate Office, even though I'm not applying for graduate study at Cambridge.

OK, I have this degree results form which has to be with the AHRC by 2 May, and I can't for the life of me work out who is supposed to fill it in.
