Nyah. Not too long. I usually estimate that people will take the time to read three short paragraphs and no more. Anything longer than that is just taking up screen space and might as well just be cut since nobody will read it until they really give a darn anyway. Plus, when you cut stuff, people can't help but click on the link and read the rest. Curiosity is a wonderful thing. Not to mention everybody's button happy tendencies. Muah ha ha.
Go buy a newspaper and look in the life/society/fun section. My newspaper has a section called Soundlife and always dedicates half a page to stuff that's going on in the area over the next two days. Usually there are musicals listed there... not just broadway style stuff... but local theatre and school productions. Right now is usually when high schools come out with their performances. It's good enough to help with a craving, but not so taxing on the wallet.
my musical of the month thing is more like me buying a cast recording and learning the show, then evaluating it compared to other shows. usually high school shows are all ones that I already know. but its a good place to start. Thanks!
