Kpop
Because I said I'd make this post.
And I realized I'm spamming people's dash so I'll put a cut in.
So basically I got into Kpop two or so years ago because my close friends did. And we got into it hard. We watched all the new MVs and kept up with our favorite groups. We even got immersed in the fandom community and started our own funny blog on Kpop. Back then, I was really into B2ST and Shinee. I watched pretty much all the variety shows they were on too. My friends were big YG fans and Mblaq. It was weird, but so much fun because we obsessed over it together. I dunno when it started, but me and one of my friends just started growing disinterested after awhile. I found out that the fan community is crazy for Kpop. They are crazy! They get so angry over what seems like the stupidest things... and I think they were partly why I grew disinterested. Well, that craze lasted like a semester. I still like listening to some Kpop, but I stopped keeping up. I got kind of into a few girl groups before that happened, but it didn't last. Well I dunno why, but recently I kind of got back into it. I'm still not crazy enough to stalk AllKpop or keep up with all the new MVs for all the groups. I decided to check out what was going on in Kpop and I kind of fell in love with Infinite and Apink. I don't even care about b2st and shinee all that much anymore haha... I think I fangirled over them just too hard and I'm all fangirled out.
Well I've already watched a ton of variety shows with Infinite, and I think they are frick'in hilarious. I love them because I actually really enjoy their 80s vibe music and I'm a huge sucker for good dance choreography. Infinite are known for their precision dancing so it's natural I was drawn to them. Plus I actually think all of them are pretty talented. The two rappers are pretty legit, and they have several strong vocals. Plus I think they get along with each other really well (just based on watching shows) and they all are pretty hilarious. Sometimes groups have like a few that are really funny but all seven members shine in my opinion.
Why I like Apink, I'm completely baffled too. I'm just... really drawn to them. They are also actually really fun girls, or at least the older ones like to goof around a lot. I also like their pure, girly image and sweet songs. I actually really dislike SNSD because they have this weird girly vibe mixed with trying to be "badass" too. It doesn't mesh well in my opinion. I started watching Apink News because of them. And I can't help rooting for them too. I love how they seem to have a big female and male fanbase.
