The 25th. I wish it were longer but that finishes my nenkyu for the year. Me and my fruit will be in touch!

Good for you...hope mangosteens work their magic.

please be very, very careful there though...my best friend got seriously drugged and robbed during her two day stay there - was meant to be three weeks, but needless to say after first horrific 24hrs she'd had enough... and she's not really a sucker...it was two well-dressed, middle-aged ladies helping her to find a phone that scammed her. i saw her the night she arrived in aus and she could barely stand...the drugs were something scary.
so take care :-)

sorry to seemingly rain on your parade...i do think it's great you7re getting out of here and taking a break.

That is scary. Plus I think I have "sucker" written all over me. (And being in Japan has made it that much worse.) But I'm avoiding Manilla altogether and heading to the smaller islands... hopefully that will be safer.

Thank you for the warning. YOU be careful in Thailand too! My friends went there and they got cornered by some kind of voodoo witch who wanted to buy their toenails. They made it out alive, but next time, who knows!?

I was so ready to break out my Thailand story again.

"Me and my fruit will be in touch!" is a beautiful sentence.
