You totally have to have an "Almighty Cracker" party with assorted beverages, heaping plates of ritz and absolutely nothing to put on them.

I'll do it, but...
I hope they come out with a "Ritz and Banana Juice" edition before the party!

Well if you don't know about that one, at least you can be absolutely sure about "ritz with wine"...

ah yes. there's nothing so heavenly on this earth as a plate of neatly aranged ritz accompanied by a bottle of 1986 château mouton rothschild pauillac.

i especially like the one with the heart shaped dipping (?) bowl. ritz crackers are love. i'm a little appalled by the lack of the standard tube, though, ritz on a plate?! whatever, man...

I especially like that they filled the heart-shaped dipping bowl with what appears to be vomit.

fantastic, but where's the 'Ritz w/ Easy Cheese?'

i have been in Japan for 3 months now, with no sight of Cheese Wiz, and that was totally my favorite snack at home.

save 'Ritz with Wine' for the classy date nights!

I had a bad experience with easy cheese during sunday school 15 years ago and will never touch it again!

On the other hand, I have found something called Mister Cheeze in the import store which is excellent on Ritz!

I see you're in Akita. Before I found out my placement I was convinced I was being sent to Akita City. Either my internet stalking skills are lacking, or the workings of the JET program are impenetrable.

Shall we be friends?

Yes, let's be pals.

What led you to think you were headed to Akita? I was convinced that they were sending me to Niigata. I asked for a city in a cold place, and figured they'd send me to Niigata City or Nagano or somewhere in the mountains. So far, Akita has been loads of fun. It's not a large city, but there's lots to do, and I do get to enjoy a small amount of anonymity. My friends outside the city are celebrities, but their neighbors know their every action!

What is Shimotsu like? How long have you been there?

Well I was an alternate, and when the man at the consulate told me I was in, the only hint he gave me was that my successor had signed the recontracting papers but then backed out. I asked on Bigdaikon if anyone knew someone who did this, and the only response I got was from Akita City.
Actually that wasn't what happened with my predecessor at all.

I'm in my second year here and I cried when I first got here (my ancient cockroach infested apartment scared me)but now I really like it. Shimotsu is a small farming and fishing town, and Osaka is only two hours away... perfect.
