haha, i guess i didn't invent anything and the reason it tastes good is because museli tastes good! I couldn't find the sprouted cereal so I'll add it to the list of things I am patiently waiting for when I go back to the US. I did get sprouted bread, though.. Last fall my co-worker gave me some yogurt culture so I could make yogurt and I made some from soy milk... it was magic! But I killed it after about a month because you have to do it every day to keep the bacteria alive.

that sounds like some fancy waiter-prepared at tableside dish. i'm thinking of some chinese dish that sizzles but all i can come up with in terms of waiter-prepared dishes is bananas foster. my new breakfast these days is an oatmeal shake and a peach. yum!

are you thinking of sizzling rice soup? I haven't made it but I think it's the same principal.
what is an oatmeal shake?
Did I tell you about oatmeal beverage?
I have a lot of questions. I hope you can answer them.

i don't know, i've never heard of sizzling rice soup.
an oatmeal shake is just cooked oatmeal, cinnamon, brown sugar, flax seed oil and water, blended. pretty simple, huh?
i found out of them through irazu on milwaukee ave in chicago.

You will be pleased to know that while perusing the grocery aisles this evening, I put all of the above into my basket, ready for breakfast tomorrow! One thing though, do the oatmeal and pecans need a bit of water/butter/milk in the pan or just clean toasting?

I am indeed pleased to know that! The oatmeal and nuts go in the pan dry, though I haven't tried any other variations. I like all of those things, I bet it'd be good!
