Ten minutes before I leave for the day and I'm sitting on the floor half dressed/half pajamas with a towel on my head. I'm in denial that I have to leave my dry comfortable home to ride my bike in the pouring pouring rain. I'll probably be updating more now that it's rainy season.

Driving to work in the freezing cold this morning was enough drama for me - I can't even imagine having to handle a bike in the rain.

One hand for the umbrella, one hand for the handlebar, zero hands to hold down my skirt! I usually love my bike, but car ownership definitely has its moments.

Skirt? You mean you don't go out in a wetsuit in these situations?

Well my early morning logic was that bare legs dry much faster than pants. I didn't remember the dangerous part until I was a on my bike after leaving ten minutes too late. I might look into getting a wetsuit, or better yet, find a sugar daddy to fund some taxi rides. I'll see if he can find you a visa, too!

The thing that annoyed me the most was that I couldn't take my laptop to work! I've managed to just let the extremities get wet and even took a second pair of shoes to work today so I wouldn't have to coldly squelch around all day. Amazing how much better I felt about the day having dry shoes. Well worth it.

Yes! I wanted to work on my get-a-new-job-athon today but I had to leave mine at home too. It sucks because it's test time at this school. I forgot extra socks but did have the sense to wear fast-drying clothes.
